Eerily like the Carling Black Label "Be the Coach" Promotion, the Hamilton Tiger's "Your team, your rules" promotion allows fans to get to vote on the team's offensive plays. On the face of it (particularly when you consider the countless permutations in the technical playbook of football), this is a great idea.
Each votable play is fully explained on the team's website by offensive coordinator Khari Jones. "It's a great way for fans to understand our plays a little better and to be able to put their stamp on it a little bit", said team president Scott Mitchell.
My take on this promotion is that the mechanics are a little nebulous. That, coupled with the highly technical nature of football and one has to question whether it's scaleable.
